Dr. Lawrence Chong

General Dentist

Dr. Lawrence Chong has a passion for dentistry and this is apparent through the smiles of his patients. He is a proud 2005 graduate from the University of Western Ontario Dental School; after his schooling he fell in love with Sault Ste. Marie and in 2007 began working here as a dentist.

Dr. Chong is a proud resident of the Sault and he shows his love for the community by working with his dental team to make it a better place.

Today he is the proud owner of Phi Dental Care and has created a team dedicated to providing the care that you deserve.

Dr. Kimlan Bell

General Dentist

Born and raised in Montreal, and a graduate from McGill University’s Faculty of Dentistry, Dr. Kimlan Bell was drawn to the Sault by the beauty of its natural surroundings and its welcoming community. Dr. Bell has been practicing dentistry since 1991.

Dr. Bell’s philosophy is simple: Educate clients in a clear and informative manner so that they can easily understand dental procedures and treatment options and treat every client with respect and care.

Dr. Bell enjoys hiking, skiing and photographing the beautiful landscapes of Northern Ontario. She is a longtime violinist of the Sault Symphony orchestra.

Dr. Bell is proud to serve her patients in both English and French.

Dr. Henry Ma

General Dentist

Originally from Alberta, Dr. Henry Ma moved to Ontario and graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto. He then moved to Sydney, Australia where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Sydney.

Dr. Ma understands that dentistry can be overwhelming. Procedures can sound confusing and complicated. His goal is to understand the needs and wishes of his patients, and to educate them in a manner that he too would want if he were a patient.

Dr. Ma has now returned home to Ontario to plant his roots with his wife, their daughter, Ellie, and their Goldendoodle, Rory. When Dr. Ma is not at the office, he enjoys exploring new trails to bike, hike and ski, and trying new restaurants and hidden gems. Please feel free to share any recommendations you might have when you are seeing Dr. Ma!

Dr. Usha Kharel

Dr. Usha Kharel is a caring and dedicated dentist who graduated from Nepal and practiced there for few years before moving to Canada. She successfully completed the Canadian dental equivalency examinations and is excited to continue her passion for dentistry while serving the Canadian community.
Dr. Kharel believes in providing gentle, personalized care and building trusting relationships with her patients.

Outside of dentistry, she enjoys reading, cooking, and exploring nature with her husband. She looks forward to welcoming you and helping you achieve a healthy, confident smile!

Dr. Yun Bo Xi

Dr. Yun Bo Xi is a compassionate and dedicated dentist who grew up in Aurora, Ontario, and graduated from Western University’s Schulich School of Dentistry in 2026.

Dr. Xi’s approach to dentistry is rooted in compassion and empathy. She takes the time to understand each patient’s unique needs, concerns, and goals, and strives to provide thoughtful, individualized, patient-centered care. She believes that building trust and meaningful relationships with her patients is the foundation of providing excellent care. It is important to her that every patient feels heard, understood, and comfortable throughout their dental experience.

Dr. Xi is proud to serve her community and provide care in both English and Mandarin Chinese. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Xi enjoys spending time in nature, creating art, and relaxing with a good movie. She looks forward to welcoming you and helping you achieve a healthy, confident smile!
